United States Fish and WIldlife Service Endangered Species list http://endangered.fws.gov Search for an endangered animal worldwide, then click on its name for lots of information.

National Wildlife Federation www.nwf.org/kids This site is fun for kids of all ages and has games and contests - with prizes, even.  Click on http://www.nwf.org/wildlifework for information about endangered mammals in the United States.

World Wildlife Fund http://www.worldwildlife.org/species/species.cfm This section of the WWF site on endangered species has a list of threatened animals plus links to more information on each animal. The Kids page has a wide variety of articles on wildlife and environmental issues along with games, quizzes, and other fun activities.

Developed by the Canadian Museum of Nature, it offers an alphabetical list of 112 mammals. Click on the name of a mammal to uncover basic information about the animal, plus a large, well-drawn, black and white illustration.
Ocean animals http://mbgnet.mobot.org/salt/animals/ For younger students anxious to learn more about the major species of ocean animals. The basic facts about each species are provided on an individual fact sheet. Also covered are marine invertebrates, such as sponges and mollusks, and sea turtles, many of which are endangered.
