Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome to Charter Alternatives School. Our staff is excited to provide a sound instructional school setting for every student that enters our program. Our school provides a unique opportunity for students to experience a challenging learning opportunity in an alternative setting. One of our goals is to offer a solid core program in reading and math supported with a strong social rehabilitation support system. With this in mind, we expect every student to accept responsibility for learning and understand that this effort requires much work. We encourage parents, also, to be active participants in the learning process for their children.
The school is divided into two learning programs; a middle school wing separate from a high school wing with two different schedules. Please review the contents of this handbook to reference any questions on the schedules.
As the principal at Charter Alternatives, I take pride in ensuring that our staff will make every effort to provide an exciting and memorable year for learning.
