What do bats eat? |

Some bats eat ripe fruit. These are called fruit bats. They are the biggest bats. They live in the rainforests. |

Some bats eat nectar from flowers. | |
| Some bats eat fish. The bats catch the fish with their claws. |

Some bats eat frogs and other small animals. | |

Some bats, but not many at all, eat blood from birds and cattle and other animals. |

Most
bats eat insects. Lots and lots of insects! The little
brown bat can eat more than one thousand insects in one hour!
