Where in the world do bats live?
     
 

 
     
  Bats live all over the world.  They do not live in places that are really really hot.  And they do not live in places that are very very cold.  They really like places that are nice and warm.  These places are called the tropics or the rainforest.   Many different kinds of bats live there!

In our country, the United States, most of the different kinds of bats live in the Southwest - places like Texas and Arizona.  Can you find Texas and Arizona on this map?
 

  
 

 
 
And some bats live in Visalia, too.  Have you ever seen bats flying at night where we live? Do you know what kind of bats they are?
