RECYCLING PROGRAM 

Builders Club Students pass out red licorice to
students who recycle bottle and cans during lunch. 

In three weeks La Joya has recycled 155 pounds of plastic and 50 pounds of cans. 
They have been cashed in for 224 dollars. 
The money from recycling will be donated to the 
Valley Children's Hospital Miracle Mile of Quarters
that will be built by the Kiwanis Clubs Saturday June 16th at the Visalia Mall.

RELAY FOR LIFE

Relay For Life Event Video

La Joya's Participation in the Relay for Life was a huge success.  La Joya’s Period 1 collection and relay participants raised 2800.00 for the fight against cancer.  Thank you to all who donated money. Builder’s Club and Leadership students who took turns walking the track through out the day were: Kian Jeffries, Jasmine Lozada, Yazmin Vargus, Myasandi Aung, Eric Blankenship, Zac Bloom, Riley Henderson,  Michael Hernandez, Alyssa Pena, Macie MacDonald, Jessica Gojara, Tiffany Browning, Maryam Garcia,  Stephanie Doria,  Janet Furtado, Taylor McCowan, Sadie Minton ,Ben Winans , Amanda Valadez,    Riley Champlin, Tiffany Huckaby, Lacey Graham, Alison , Devin Gonzalaz Bailey Wickliffe.  Students who also helped out with skin cancer education were Iain Scott and Kyle Bullock. A special thank you to parents who donated drinks, snacks and spent time with us during the day.
