WHAT: An environmental camp partnership between Sequoia National Park, the Kiwanis Clubs and Visalia Unified that provides experiential learning that promotes an understanding of the interconnection between the city, valley and mountains for the purpose of creating informed citizenship and stewardship for California youth.


WHO: Mrs. Chicoine and Mr. Grimmer, 9 boys and 9 girls will be selected to go to the camp. Seventh grade students who attend La Joya M.S. are being invited and asked to explain how they will create a project when they return.
WHEN: Sequoia for Youth Camp starts Tuesday, January 24th and runs through Friday, January 27.
WHERE: Students will stay at the Sequoia Village Inn, above Three Rivers, adjacent to the park, and will travel to various sites in Sequoia and to Kaweah Lake.
