Transitions are the Special Effects that occur BETWEEN the Slides |

1. To
begin adding transitions between slides, click 'Slide
Sorter" view on the bottom left toolbar of PowerPoint and then
(2) click the icon to the left of the drop down box to open the slide
transition window.![]() Rehearse Timings To customize timing settings so that the your presentation and you and in sync with each other, click on the "Rehearse Timings" icon on the toolbar. ![]() This will allow you to click through your show and save the timing settings. When finished, you can set your show to play automatically according to the pace that you practiced with. |
![]() Transitions do just that! They should help the slides flow more smoothly together and bring unity. |

![]() After adjusting the speed, type of transition from the drop down
box, deciding if you want each slide to advance automatically or by mouse
click, and perhaps some sound, you then can decide how you want to apply
your changes. Apply--will put your "transition" only between the slide you selected and the next one. You could, if you wanted, have a different transition between each slide--although not recommended. |
