Adding a Chart to PowerPoint

By Choosing Insert > Chart from the toolbar, a basic chart and data sheet that can be customized by the "special" toolbar that comes with the chart will appear.

If you would like to import a full featured chart that can be created within PowerPoint with Microsoft Excel, choose Insert > Object >Select bubble "Create New > Microsoft Excel Chart or Worksheet.


If you would like to import a chart already created in a program, like Microsoft Excel, choose Insert > Object >Select bubble "Create from file > Microsoft Excel Chart or Worksheet.  This will link the chart that you placed in PowerPoint dynamically to the one you created elsewhere on your computer.  Changes made to the worksheet in either program will update the PowerPoint inserted chart automatically.
