     Hi!  I am Dr. William Magnus – chemist – metallurgist – scientist – and creator of the Metal Men – a team of robots that battles criminals and evil doers throughout the world.  These robots are very special.  Each robot is created out of a single element.  The physical properties of that element give each robot special or unique abilities.  The Robot made of Iron is very strong. The robot made of Mercury is very flexible. 

     I have got a job for you.  I’m recruiting you to develop a new robot for the Metal Men team.  You will need to learn about the physical properties of elements and the Periodic table.  Then, you will recommend an element which we will use to build the next Metal Men team member.  Remember to choose an element whose physical properties will give our robot exceptional crime fighting abilities.  Now, let’s get started by meeting some of the existing Metal Men.
